Michael Jackson (1958–2009) was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He began his professional career in the mid-1960s as a member of the Jackson 5 and later achieved significant commercial success as a solo artist. Jackson was known for his distinctive vocal style, innovative music videos, and influential dance techniques, and his work had a lasting impact on popular music and performance. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1997 and as a solo artist in 2001.
