Biography / Administrative History
Bad Company is a British rock band formed in 1973 by Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke, Mick Ralphs, and Boz Burrell, whose members had previously performed with Free, Mott the Hoople, and King Crimson. The band was signed to Swan Song Records, becoming one of rock’s first and most successful supergroups. Bad Company achieved significant commercial success during the 1970s, releasing six albums certified platinum in the United States. Their music blended blues-influenced hard rock with a direct, song-focused approach that emphasized melody and concise arrangements. The band remained active through multiple lineup changes and periods of hiatus, reuniting intermittently from the late 1990s onward.
