George Cabaniss (1956-2020) was a rock musician from Silver Lake, Ohio. As a guitarist, he was known for his distinctive guitar style, especially within the local music scene. He was a member of multiple bands, including Kil Cooley, Yankee, Hammer Damage, Dead Boys, Stiv Bators Band, Sodbusters, Color Me Gone, Village Idiots, Bad Dudes, Paper Crowns, Orange Ruffians, and the Psyclones, while also composing rock and pop hits for other local musicians.

The George Cabaniss Posters and Video contains materials from 1989 and includes some undated materials. The collection features the work of George Cabaniss, a rock guitarist and musician from Northeast Ohio. Cabaniss was the guitarist for Hammer Damage, a punk rock band active from 1978-1984 that is prominently featured in this collection.
