Scope and Contents
The Clayton Knipper photographs include three black-and-white digital images of the aftermath of the first Moondog Coronation Ball, March 21,1952, at the Cleveland Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The collection provides visual evidence of the mayhem that ensued during and after what is now considered the first rock and roll concert.
