- Etendue et contenuThe Barbara Lincoln Lobby Cards and Posters span the years 1958-1967. The collection is organized into two series: Lobby Cards and Posters. Series I: Lobby Cards consists of eleven 11” x 14” lobby cards for musical films from the 1960s, including “Rock, Rock, Rock” featuring inductee Alan Freed, “The Girls on the Beach” featuring inductees the Beach Boys and the Crickets, and “Clambake” featuring inductee Elvis Presley. A poster for “Clambake” is also featured in Series II: Posters, alongside ones for “Pajama Party” and “Beach Blanket Bingo,” which featured inductee Fats Domino. Each series is organized chronologically. Numerous films featured in this collection, like “Pajama Party,” “Beach Blanket Bingo,” “Muscle Beach Party,” and “How to Stuff a Wild Bikini,” are among the first beach party films pioneered by American International Pictures. In its entirety, the Barbara Lincoln Lobby Cards and Posters provide a glimpse into the vibrant fusion of rock'n'roll and rock and roll music and film that helped shape the teen movie phenomenon of the 1960s.
