Popular Music Books in Process is a weekly online discussion series for music writers and scholars to showcase recent books or works in progress to an engaged audience. It started in 2020 and is a collaboration between the Journal of Popular Music Studies, the Pop Conference, and the United States branch of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM-US).

The Eric Weisbard Popular Music Books in Process Collection contains 285 digital video, audio, and text files from the weekly discussion series Popular Music Books in Process. The materials are dated 2020-2024 and feature audio and video recordings of the online discussions as well as their chat transcripts. The collection includes a wide range of popular music topics from K-pop artists, gospel, and black punk to indie record labels, songwriting, and college radio. The collection is arranged chronologically and is of interest to popular music scholars and writers.
