Warren Zevon (1947–2003) was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and composer whose work was characterized by dark humor, acid wit, and candid emotional expression. His songwriting drew on a distinctive blend of rock and roll, country, folk, and blues. Classically trained as a pianist, Zevon began his professional career as a session musician and composer before gaining wider recognition in the 1970s with the release of albums including Warren Zevon (1976) and Excitable Boy (1978). Throughout his career, he collaborated with numerous prominent artists and writers and received critical acclaim for his narrative-driven songs. In 2025, Zevon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Crystal Zevon Collection on Warren Zevon dates from 1978 to 2000 and includes some undated materials. The collection consists of typewritten and handwritten lyrics, notes, touring schedules, and related materials created by or documenting the work and career of Warren Zevon.
