The Iguanas were an American garage rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1963. Members included Jim Osterberg (Iggy Pop), Jim McLaughlin, Nick Kolokithas, Don Swickerath, and Sam Swisher.

The Susan Backus Iguanas Correspondence is dated 1964 and consists of two letters written to Susan Backus from Sam Swisher of the Iguanas.
