- Biography / Administrative HistoryJeff Reding is a Cleveland, OH, native and began his career in promotions and public relations in the late 1970’s. He created Modern Musik Magazine in 1981, which was dedicated to promoting upcoming bands, record reviews, band interviews, and articles. Currently, he is the Executive Producer of VidMag Media which is the exstension of the cable music program, VidMag Television (1986-1993), which featured music videos, interviews, and live performances of local and national touring bands. Reding produced a number of concert events at local venues such as Babylon Falls, the last show at Babylon A Go-Go, and An Industrial Nightmare, a Halloween show at the Phantasy Nite Club.
- Scope and ContentsThe Jeff Reding Collection ranges from 1986 to 2024 and undated materials. The files are organized into two series that contain digital videos and images of local and national acts that performed in the Cleveland, OH, area. This content was recorded for VidMag Television, a Cleveland television show produced by Reding containing music videos, interviews, and performances by Cleveland area and national bands and their members, as well as for Reding’s personal collection. This collection was donated as part of the NEO Sound Film & Video Preservation Day at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Library and Archives, in Cleveland, OH.
